N° 05 — Foundation

Geneva / since 2011

Open UrbanismFoundation.

A non-profit foundation based in Geneva, building open infrastructure for urban participation.

Fifteen years of public infrastructure, co-developed with partner cities.

Four pillars

01

Mission

Make participation a standard, not an option. The foundation equips cities, researchers and citizens to turn consultation into a robust, traceable and contributory method.

02

Model

Open-source by default, neutral by construction. Everything the foundation produces is freely reusable. No citizen data is ever resold.

03

Recognition

Recognised by UN-Habitat, awarded internationally. The method is studied by international institutions and embedded in European research projects.

04

Governance

A permanent team in Geneva, associated researchers across Europe, and a network of contributing cities that keep evolving the tool in the field.

Licenses

Free, modifiable, shareable.
Forever.
